T-Mobile Montenegro, the wireless arm of fixed line incumbent Crnogorski Telekom, has announced the launch of 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) services in seven cities: Podgorica, Nikisc, Budva, Bar, Kotor, Tivat and Herceg Novi. The service provides theoretical maximum download speeds of up to 100Mbps, and is available as an optional add-on to subscribers of T-Mobile’s ‘Libero’ packages with compatible USB modems or handsets. The cellco provides Huawei’s E3276 LTE-compatible USB modem at a discounted rate for prospective 4G users, whilst the iPhone 5, 5S and 5C, and HTC One also support the technology. T-Mobile’s ‘Libero’ packages range in price from EUR6.05 (USD8.22) per month to EUR29.5, whilst the addition of 4G costs an extra EUR4 or EUR6 depending on the tariff.
