Mobitel passes 50% LTE coverage

31 Oct 2013

Telekom Slovenije has announced on its website that its 4G LTE mobile broadband network now spans 182 base stations covering 72 Slovenian towns and over 50% of the population, including some rural areas. Coverage has grown from 157 active base stations in 55 towns in August. Telekom’s cellular unit Mobitel launched the LTE network commercially in March and expanded 4G services to pre-paid users in September. It currently offers theoretical down/upload speed limits of 100Mbps/50Mbps.
