Australian fixed line incumbent Telstra, in partnership with French-US vendor Alcatel-Lucent, has achieved speeds of up to 100Mbps over its existing copper networks, The Australian reports. The development comes after the two companies began trials of vectoring technology last month, with a view to showcasing Telstra’s credentials as a potential construction partner for the National Broadband Network (NBN) project.
