Fixed line incumbent Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL) has reported consolidated revenues of PKR100.5 billion (USD937.31 million) for the nine months ended 30 September 2013, an increase of 16% year-on-year. Net profits for the period under review were PKR11.3 billion, on the back of gross profits of PKR35.98 billion. President and CEO of the telco, Walid Irshaid, commented: ‘PTCL is on a growth trajectory and our revenues are increasingly being driven from broadband services. We have been investing heavily to build broadband infrastructure over the last two years and this investment has started to bring dividends.’
