Orange Slovakia now offers 3G mobile data services at theoretical maximum download speeds of up to 42Mbps in every Slovak city and town with at least 10,000 inhabitants, equivalent to more than 60% of the population, local website Mobilmania reported. The 42Mbps service based on Dual Carrier (DC)-HSPA+ technology augments a W-CDMA/HSPA+ population coverage of 80%, with Orange offering 3G in 137 cities and more than 682 municipalities/villages. TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database shows that Orange’s DC-HSPA+ coverage has been expanded from 49% in November 2012, while overall 3G coverage reached 137 cities and 633 municipalities/villages in March this year.
