Mobile operator Vodafone Fiji has carried out a study concerning plans to deploy additional mobile towers to improve network coverage in the country’s Northern Division. Commenting on the expansion plan, which is part of the cellco’s three-year development plan, its head of radio networks coverage, Thomas Bruce, said: ‘We have identified some sites in the Macuata Coral Coast area, Coqeloa, Dogotuki, Korotari and parts of Bua’. According to Mr Bruce, ‘This is phase one of the project and it’s now completed. The project is basically aimed at further enhancing our network coverage for people here in the North and soon, they will be able to access our network from wherever they are.’
