Bouygues Telecom, France’s third-largest cellular operator by subscribers, has announced that it plans to conduct a Long Term Evolution (LTE) trial in 800MHz band in several municipalities in mountain areas in early 2014, in close collaboration with the Mission France Very High Speed programme. The pilot network will be launched during the first quarter of 2014 for a period of several months and will be free of charge for all participants.
