Having announced a series of agreements under which Telefonica Espana (Movistar) would gain access to its 4G infrastructure, Spanish cellco Yoigo has announced that, as allowed to under the deal, it is set to introduce a converged product comprising its own mobile services and its rival’s fixed voice and broadband services. With the new bundles to be offered under the Yoigo Fusion banner from 16 October, three options will be made available, the lowest priced of which, ‘Fusion Plana a lo Yoigo’, will comprise of a 10Mbps ADSL broadband service, a fixed voice line with unlimited national fixed line calls, and a mobile voice connection with 100 minutes of calls to mobile or landlines and 100MB of data per month. ‘Fusion Fibra Infinita a lo Yoigo’, the top-end package, will meanwhile provide customers with a fibre-based broadband service offering speeds of up to 100Mbps, in addition to a fixed line with unlimited calls to national fixed numbers and 500 minutes for mobile calls during weekends, plus a mobile line with unlimited mobile and fixed line calls and 1GB of data per month.
