Zain Bahrain has signed a four-year managed services agreement with Ericsson, to manage day-to-day operations of its network across the country, with the aim of allowing the cellco to allocate more resources to higher-end services, reports CommsMEA. Mohammed Zainalabedin, general manager of Zain Bahrain, said: ‘This latest partnership with Ericsson helps to increase our internal productivity, and the result of that efficiency will be reflected in what our subscribers will experience of superior communications.’ Ray Hassan, Ericsson EVP and head of the global customer unit for Zain, added: ‘By deploying this differentiated solution, Zain Bahrain’s network will operate at upgraded productivity levels, enabling the operator to continue innovating and providing customers with a premium mobile experience.’ The deal was signed at the Ericsson Networked Society Forum in Dubai on 22 September.
