The planned sale of GTS Central Europe, a Polish-backed group which specialises in enterprise and wholesale telecoms services in central and eastern Europe, has been shelved due to a lack of interest from potential buyers, TMT Finance writes, citing unnamed banking sources. Germany’s Deutsche Telekom (DT), Netia of Poland and Turk Telecom were all reportedly considering entering bids but dropped out of the running. GTS’s owners, private equity firms including Columbia Capital, Innova Capital and HarbourVest Partners, are now looking to recapitalise the operator’s debt.
