The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has established a committee to examine the recommendations put forward by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) regarding the sale of spectrum in the 800MHz, 900MHz and 1800MHz bands, the Economic Times writes. The newly formed committee has been given a month to submit a report on the proposals which feature a 60% cut in reserve prices for frequencies and rules for spectrum trading.
