Beleaguered Australian telco ISPOne has been sold to Melbourne-based telecoms provider CONEC2, just weeks after the company entered administration. ISPOne’s long-term future has been under scrutiny following two failed court battles against Telstra and the now-defunct Kogan Mobile. Technology website ZDNet.com quotes Stewart McCallum from the company’s administrator Ferrier Hodgson, who confirmed that all 29 employees and 61,000 customers – including those of Aldi Mobile – will be transferred to CONEC2. McCallum noted that there had been a number of interested buyers, which pushed up the sale price of ISPOne. ‘Many were credible buyers, and the level of interest drove a competitive bidding process,’ he said.
