In a filing to the Philippine Stock Exchange, the country’s second largest operator by subscribers Globe Telecom says that service revenues for its Tattoo broadband business rose 25% year-on-year to PHP5.145 billion (USD5.4 million) in the first six months of this year, up from PHP4.106 billion in the corresponding year-earlier period. Second-quarter service revenue climbed 7% y-o-y to PHP2.700 billion it added, as Globe closed out June with a total of over 1.8 million Tattoo subscribers, compared to 1.6 million at 30 June 2012. To sustain growth in the second half of this year, Tattoo intends to provide ‘more product innovations, best-value offers and exclusive perks for loyal subscribers,’ a spokesman for the telco said.
