France’s Numericable reports 1.1% rise in FY 2012 revenues

French cable services provider Numericable has reported revenues of EUR874 million (USD1.13 billion) in the year to 31 December 2012, up 1.1% from EUR865 million in FY 2011. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) climbed 4.6% on an annualised basis to EUR459 million from EUR436 million as capital expenditure was increased from EUR186 million in fiscal to 2011 to EUR219 million last year, to finance its ongoing fibre rollout. Operationally, Numericable said it closed out 2012 with a total of 1.63 million subscribers, of which 972,000 were multiple-play customers (i.e. including broadband) and TV-only customers stood at 359,000.
