Entel Chile has selected Swedish vendor Ericsson as sole supplier for its wireless networks including its 2G, 3G and 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) platforms under a new three-year contract. The deal covers the deployment, integration and management of an end-to-end LTE network, incorporating RBS 6000 base stations and Evolved Packet Core (EPC) with Evolved Packet Gateway on the SSR 8000 family of Smart Services Routers. No financial details were given.
