Wiseband Limited, a UAE-based company, has launched services across Libya on Avanti Communications’ Hylas 2 Ka-band satellite, which first launched in August 2012. According to Satellite Pro Middle East Wiseband has a strong customer base in the Middle East and Africa, where it primarily delivers data services to oil and gas companies. In Libya Wiseband will reportedly target corporate, banking and small business customers.
