The Telecommunications Commission of Solomon Islands (TCSI) has made available to Solomon Telekom an additional seven-digit GSM number range for use in ‘Honiara and other Provinces’ and the ‘Western Province’. All administrations and Recognised Operating Agencies (ROAs) have now been requested to initiate the necessary programming to allow access to the new seven-digit number range. Other companies included in the watchdog’s number range are bemobile, which is owned by Papua New Guinea’s Telikom PNG, and Smile Limited, which is presumed to be an affiliate of the Vanuatu-based mobile operator of the same name.
