Une aims high with LTE subscriptions

8 Mar 2013

Colombian state owned telco Une-EPM is aiming to sign up 300,000 customers to its 4G service by the end of 2013, BNAmericas reports, citing a senior official Nibaldo Toledo. The operator launched its first foray into the wireless market in June 2012 when it activated the nation’s first 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network. Une ended the year with 40,000 users on its network, and intends to add 260,000 new subscribers over the course of 2013. Furthermore, the operator expects to increase LTE coverage to 15 cities by the same date, from its current six.
