According to French newspaper Les Echos, SFR plans to close 150 stores before the end of 2014. The cellco, which currently has around 850 stores and points of sale, has not confirmed the reports, but the company is understood to be looking to cut costs in the wake of fierce competition following the launch of Iliad’s mobile unit Free in January 2012. SFR has forecast revenues of EUR10.3 billion (USD13.5 billion) in 2015, approximately EUR1 billion below the level recorded in 2012.
