Russian mobile giant MegaFon expects to reach one million Long Term Evolution (LTE) users by the end of 2013, up from 130,000 at 31 December 2012. The figures were revealed to the Russian media by managing director Mikhail Dubin, who noted that the cellco plans to supplement its existing LTE mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) arrangement with Scartel (Yota) with an independent rollout in eight Russian regions.
