TRAI reviews national roaming charges

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has launched a public consultation on alterations to national roaming charges. The watchdog’s paper covers plans mandating free national roaming for voice services, a policy proposed in the National Telecom Policy 2012 (NTP 2012) as well as a suggested tariff regime for SMS and video calls whilst roaming. 18 March was set as the closing date for submissions.
