Dow Jones Newswires reports that metals magnate Mikhail Prokhorov’s holding company Onexim is considering buying a 10.5% stake in Russian state-controlled telco Rostelecom from Marshall Capital, a fund controlled by Konstantin Malofeyev. Business daily Vedomosti, citing an employee of a major investment bank and a source close to Onexim, said that the 10.5% stake is valued at around USD1.7 billion by Marshall Capital itself.
