Telecom Personal selects CommProve’s network monitoring solution

12 Feb 2013

Telecom Personal, the mobile arm of Argentine fixed line incumbent Telecom Argentina, has selected a next generation network monitoring solution from CommProve to optimise its network, better utilise available capacity and improve customer satisfaction. CommProve NetLedge will provide network monitoring and performance management support to ensure the measurement of network key performance indicators, as well as perform advanced troubleshooting to track customer experience. ‘It’s becoming increasingly important to manage the customer experience on our network in real-time, and this is a key element of our network quality improvement program,’ said Paolo Perfetti, head of Networks at Telecom Personal, adding: ‘We selected a CommProve solution to achieve this effectively as well as to further enhance the network performance for our subscribers.’ In addition to deploying CommProve NetLedge, Telecom Personal will also integrate the Ireland-based vendor’s performance management platform, CommProve GSP, in certain parts of its network.

Telecom Personal is Argentina’s second largest mobile operator by subscribers, notes TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database. The cellco had a wireless subscriber base of 18.909 million at the end of September 2012 (giving it a market share of 32.6%), just behind market leader Claro with 20.08 million and ahead of Telefonica-owned Movistar with 17.29 million.
