Armenian fixed and mobile operator ArmenTel (Beeline) has connected to TeliaSonera’s new backbone network, boosting its total international bandwidth capacity by 10%, the telco said in a statement as reported by PanArmenia.net. Commenting on the development, ArmenTel’s head of public relations Anush Beghloyan said: ‘The new backbone connection is conditioned by ArmenTel’s continuous growth of subscriber base and tariff packages. The initiative will boost [the telco’s] access to foreign resources.’
