Danish telco TDC has posted revenue of DKK6.55 billion (USD1.2 billion) for the fourth quarter of 2012, down 2% year-on-year. EBITDA slipped 6.5% to DKK2.58 billion, while net income shrank by more than 12% to DKK617 million. The company said it experienced a number of headwinds, including fierce competition in the Danish mobile market and tougher regulations in Europe in terms of negative developments regarding mobile termination rates and international roaming charges. The company ended 2012 with 9.554 million revenue generating units (RGUs), down from 9.598 million at the end of 2011. In its guidance for 2013, TDC said it expects EBITDA for the full year to come in at between DKK10 billion and DKK10.2 billion, below this year’s level of DKK10.4 billion, while revenue is forecast to be between DKK25 billion and DKK25.5 billion, below this year’s sales of DKK26.1 billion.
