Following on from an agreement to purchase MTN Group’s tower assets in Cote d’Ivoire and Cameroon announced last October, Nigerian tower company IHS Group is eyeing a further three deals in Africa this year. As reported by TMT Finance, IHS CEO Issam Darwish said in an interview with Reuters that deals are likely to happen in east and west Africa, with the company looking at infrastructure acquisitions in at least six countries. IHS currently owns about 3,100 sites, and manages a further 2,000 across the continent.
