Get sale reportedly underway

1 Feb 2013

According to TMT Finance, the owners of Norwegian cableco Get have initiated a sale process which could raise more than EUR1 billion (USD1.36 billion) from the sale of the operator. The company’s private equity owners, Qadrangle Capital Partners and Goldman Sachs Capital Partner, acquired the company in 2007, but rumours that they were looking to sell first appeared in July 2012. At the end of September 2012, Get claimed a 12.6% share of Norway’s broadband subscriber market, according to data from TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database.
