TIM Brasil to roll out 3G to Barra Mansa, Angra dos Reis, Resende and Arraial Cape

Brazilian mobile operator TIM Participacoes (TIM Brasil) has announced plans to roll out its 3G network to four cities in Rio de Janeiro, namely: Barra Mansa, Angra dos Reis, Resende and Arraial Cape. The move will increase its third-generation coverage to 93% of the urban population in the state of Rio de Janeiro, it said. According to Anatel, TIM Brasil covered a total of 3,351 municipalities by the fourth quarter of 2012, up from 3,212 at the start of the year.
