Orange rolls out network to three new cities

Orange Tunisia, the smallest of the nation’s trio of wireless operators by subscribers, has extended coverage to three new cities: Makthar, Bir Mcherga and Jebel Oust. The expansion increases Orange’s 3G network coverage to 84% of the population. TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database notes that as at end-September 2012 Orange Tunisia claimed approximately 311,000 3G users, translating to a 62% share of the wireless data segment, compared to an 11% share of the total mobile market.
