Altel unveils LTE support centre in Almaty

Kazakh wireless operator Altel has reportedly opened a 4G technical support centre in Almaty, in order to support its Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, which went live in late-December 2012; the support centre uses equipment sourced from China’s ZTE. According to Telecompaper, the company has deployed more than 350 LTE base stations across the two cities.
