Kyrgyztelecom continues with fibre-optic network rollout

Kyrgyztelecom has announced the completion of a 308km fibre-optic network connecting the capital Bishkek with Talas, a town in the north-west of the country. The state-owned national telecoms operator said that the residents of Talas will now have the opportunity to benefit from high quality services such as broadband internet access and IPTV. The network forms part of a larger project to link Bishkek, Osh and Batken to a fibre-optic backbone.
