Digicel Jamaica will revert to using its previous voicemail system after customer complaints about the new platform prompted the Office of Utilities Regulation (OUR) to intervene. The recently introduced system had reportedly led to customers being charged without giving them the chance to hang up before the call was connected to voicemail. Go Jamaica writes that Digicel acknowledged that some of the changes were not agreeable to customers and decided to return to its previous system. The company will also launch a campaign to disseminate information on how to set up or disable voicemail as well as details on its charging policy for voicemail.
