The sale of state-backed incumbent Post and Telecommunication Kosovo (PTK) has been delayed for a third time, to give bidders an opportunity to gather funding. ‘With the aim of protecting the interests of the state, and to avoid a rush that might yield low offers, we have decided to extend the bidding for another six weeks’ economy minister Besim Beqaj was quoted by Reuters as saying. Potential buyers now have until 14 March to submit offers. Beqaj added that Columbia Capital, part of a consortium that also included British Telecom (BT) and ACP Axos Capital, had withdrawn from the race but had been replaced by an unnamed US company.
