E-Plus, the German mobile unit of Dutch telecoms group KPN, has now upgraded 97% of its third-generation network to HSPA+ technology, enabling its customers to access mobile broadband download speeds of up to 21Mbps. In a press release on its website, Germany’s third largest mobile operator by subscribers announced that during 2012 it had installed an average of over 35 new HSPA+ base stations a week, and said it plans to continue upgrading and expanding its infrastructure in 2013.
