Mississippi-based mobile operator C Spire Wireless has announced that it is poised to start offering 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) services in its 33rd local market, namely the small town of Philadelphia, which is home to less than 8,000 people. C Spire’s rollout began in September 2012 and several other markets are also set to experience 4G in the coming weeks, it said. The company’s LTE network currently comprises 364 cell sites, covering 2,700 square miles, and a population of around 1.2 million.
