CounterPath, a developer of VoIP solutions for desktop, tablet and mobile devices, has announced that its ‘Bria’ mobile softphone application is the core technology behind Tornado, the new OTT VoIP service launched by Optima Telekom, Croatia’s second largest fixed telecoms provider. Tornado users are able to call any fixed or mobile number at a fixed rate from any location in Croatia or abroad. Tornado is currently available for Android and iOS smartphones via 3G/4G or Wi-Fi networks. In addition to voice calls, Tornado also supports video calls, instant messaging and presence applications.
