Digicel Fiji is planning to extend its network footprint to areas which are currently not served by a mobile signal, according to the firm’s CEO Maurice McCarthy. According to the official, Digicel’s initial targets include the areas of Tavuki in Kadavu, Nakorowaru in Gau and other parts of the Lau Group, as the cellco moves ahead with its business plan to deliver better services to its customers in 2013 and beyond. Mr McCarthy is aware of the need to deliver the right products and drive added value and greater efficiencies to meet consumers’ needs. ‘This includes our everyday consumer who wants access to the internet to our largest client who needs the world’s most cutting-edge technology to ensure they compete in what has now become a global market,’ he said.
