15 Jan 2013

Telesur, Suriname’s state-owned telecoms provider, has announced that it will expand its existing product suite after confirming a partnership agreement with voice-over-internet protocol (VoIP) specialist Net2Phone. The latter, which currently provides VoIP services in around 160 countries, will act as Telesur’s ‘hosted provider’ for the IP telephony service, which will be offered under the brand name ‘Telesur Internet Calling’. The telco’s service will offer unique pricing plans including unlimited calling to the Netherlands, Brazil, China, the United States and Canada. In addition, customers will be able to choose a ‘virtual phone number’ from any one of those countries.
