Wyless, a global machine to machine (M2M) managed services provider, has struck an agreement to enable its customers to deploy M2M solutions on Rogers Communications’ wireless networks in Canada. The agreement expands the reach of Wyless’ existing M2M platform which operates in partnership with mobile network operators worldwide to provide secure wireless connectivity to mobile and fixed devices. Rogers business customers looking to deploy M2M solutions outside of Canada will have access to the Wyless Managed Network and the Porthos Management Platform to cost efficiently deploy solutions in the US and global markets, the M2M provider’s press release stated. Shelby Noakes, Wyless’ VP of business development, Americas, said: ‘This new partnership with Rogers means we are now able to provide local connectivity to US and global enterprises looking to quickly and easily deploy M2M solutions into Canada.’ Wyless offers a wireless ‘one-stop shop’ for customers to develop and deploy applications across vertical markets including transportation, retail, oil and gas, government, financial, healthcare, manufacturing and education. The new agreement with Rogers is aimed at driving growth in application deployments across these sectors in the Canadian market.
