Ten companies are reportedly interested in bidding in Peru’s national fibre-optic backbone tender, reports Telecompaper citing Jesus Guillen, the telecoms projects manager at Peru’s Agency for Promotion of Private Investment (ProInversion). According to the report, interested parties include Level 3, Samsung, KT Corp and Grupo Azteca, among others, and the tender is expected to be launched by the end of March.
