Croatia’s T-Hrvatski Telekom (T-HT), which offers mobile services under the T-Mobile brand, has launched commercial 800MHz services for its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) mobile broadband network users. The 800MHz launch came over the Christmas holiday season, following the award of digital dividend spectrum in the lower frequency band in October 2012; T-HT launched commercial LTE services in the 1800MHz band in March 2012. T-HT says its 800MHz LTE coverage will focus on rural and sparsely populated areas. Amongst the first areas to receive 800MHz 4G coverage are Ozlja, Koprivnice, Drenovaca, Petrinje, Otocca and Josipdola, with compatible devices offered including the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE.
