According to an unconfirmed report by Telecompaper, Austrian consumer protection group Verein fur Konsumenteninformation (VKI) has won a court ruling against 19 of the 22 clauses included in the contracts of cableco UPC Austria. VKI reportedly said that the High Court ruling will restrict the ability of telecoms operators to make changes to the terms and conditions of contracts and fees. UPC has been given four months by the court to modify the clauses in new contracts.
