The Kuwaiti telco Zain has contracted systems integrator Middle East Telecommunications Company (METCO) to implement a new Long Term Evolution (LTE)-based Carrier Ethernet backhaul infrastructure from Ciena. The solution is based on Ciena’s Service Delivery Switches, delivering a future-proof mobile backhaul product with scalable and reliable performance, the vendor reports.
