Chinese telecoms vendor Huawei has announced that it has completed the deployment of an intelligent optical distribution network (iODN) for Rostelecom in Perm Krai, Russia. The rollout, which is expected to complement Rostelecom’s ongoing implementation of fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) services, represents the first iODN in Russia, and promises to provide superior service experience for the telco’s broadband subscribers.
