Evatis launches 3G+ in Djibouti

Agence Ecofin reports that Evatis, the mobile brand of Djibouti Telecom, has launched a new 3.5G mobile service in the country, augmenting its existing 2G GSM and 2.5G EDGE platforms. The new 3G+ network went live on 27 December 2012, offering subscribers access to high speed mobile broadband, mobile as well as voice and SMS/MMS services. A result of the launch, Djibouti Telecom users will be able to take broadband on a range of devices, including mobile phones, tablets and laptops.
