Indonesia’s biggest telecommunications group by subscribers and revenue, PT Telkom Indonesia, has reportedly posted revenue of IDR56.86 trillion (USD5.92 billion), up 7.63% year-on-year, and net profit of IDR10.01 trillion (+19.47%) for the nine months ended 30 September 2012. Reuters reports that the state-owned telco made the announcement in a statement to the local stock exchange. The increase in turnover was attributed to strong performances from its data, internet, IT services division, which improved by 12.2% y-o-y to IDR2.19 billion, and the group’s cellular arm which grew by 7.9% to IDR1.65 billion. The operator’s share price surged 1.58% in the wake of the announcement.
