19 Oct 2012

Indian cellco Bharti Airtel has extended 4G services to Pune, the third city to be covered by the operator’s Time Division Long Term Evolution (TD-LTE) network, the Indian Express reports. A Bharti official said that customers would have access to minimum download speeds of between 10Mbps and 15Mbps. As noted by TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, the cellco launched the nation’s first LTE service in April this year, and its networks also covers Calcutta and Bangalore.
