Moroccan telecoms service provider Wana (Inwi) is interested in resuming its interest in investing in Mauritanian telco Mattel, as the latter looks to take the fight to its rivals in the domestic mobile market, IT Tunisia reports. Mattel, which is majority owned by Tunisie Telecom but also has a number of private shareholders, was established in May 2000 and currently provides GSM-based services in the country. It also competes with Mauritel, which is backed by Maroc Telecom, and Orange Mauritania.
