The French cellular provider SFR is set to launch a new mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) under the name Joe Mobile on 23 October. Although SFR has not yet released full details of what services Joe Mobile will be carrying, a promotional video on its website promises a ‘revolutionary’ personalised offer. SFR is the second largest cellular operator in France by subscribers, with almost 21 million customers at the end of June 2012, according to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database.
