ETB looks for USD600m for fibre expansion

State-backed telco Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogota (ETB) plans to issue USD600 million in bonds in international capital markets to fund the expansion of its fibre-optic network. Reuters cites Bogota’s mayor Gustavo Petro as saying that the bonds will be available ‘before the end of November.’ The telco plans to roll out fibre-based broadband services to every home in the capital.
